They are metallic tubes made often of high quality material (copper, brass – partially silvered or gold plated). A waveguide may have rectangular, circular or elliptical cross section. The rectangular waveguide is most commonly used for relatively short connections. Waveguide has a number of advantages over coax, microstrip and stripline. It is completely shielded , it can transmit extremely high peak powers and it has very low loss at microwave frequencies. The main advantage is that waveguides support propagation with […]
SOUTHWEST MICROWAVE is the leader in high-performance interconnect products for microwave and millimeter wave applications. Southwest Microwave have added several new high-performance products to their line of precision field replaceable connectors, adapters, cable assemblies and end launch connectors. All of Southwest Microwave’s precision products are designed based on transmission line principles, which enables them to deliver superior interconnect performance that the RF and digital design communities have come to expect from their technologies

HASCO offers a large selection of RF and Millimeter Wave terminations up to 170 GHz Understanding Terminations or Loads RF loads or terminations are indispensable components in many RF and Millimeter Wave systems where signal reflection from unused ports can potentially damage the device or reduce the signal integrity. By using a termination on an unused port with a matched load (dummy load), the incident energy will be absorbed with minimal reflection. These termination components are commonly used to terminate devices such as couplers, circulators, and switches. They are also widely used in measurement systems to ensure accurate results.
Dave joined HyTech in 1983. His microwave experience began in 1969 as a Product Line Manager for the Waveguide Products of Systron-Donner (previously DeMornay Bernardi). His responsibilities included the selling of Waveguide products, the development of their Component Catalog, managing the national and international rep organizations, the development of new products, and all other marketing responsibilities. From 1971 to 1977, Dave also served as Product Line Manager for the Spectrum Analyzer, Sweepers and Microwave Subsystems for Systron-Donner. By directing all of Systron-Donner Microwave product lines, Dave developed hands-on experience with simple waveguide passive components to sophisticated microprocessor based instrumentation to […]
Bill’s microwave experience dates back to his radar technician days in the US Navy. After leaving the Navy, Bill worked for McDonnell Douglas in Santa Monica as Manager of the RF and Microwave Secondary Standards and Calibration Lab. He completed his engineering and business education during this period. Bill entered the sales business in 1967 with Dynamic Associates, a division of Metric Resources. He engaged in field sales of Microwave Measuring Instruments and covered the north end of the Southern California area.In 1969, Bill helped found Scientific Devices-West. He served as a Director and Sales Manager for Microwave Products. Scientific […]
